BOOK REVIEW: Let Go
In her newest book, “Let Go”, Sheila Walsh shares her personal experiences and insights in finding deliverance and enjoying the freedom that a personal relationship with Christ brings.
Sheila shares the details of some of her darkest times and how grace and her faith in Christ brought her out of those hard places. From a young girl who lost her father at an early age and carried the guilt of his death for many years to a grown women facing depression, Sheila learned how to let go and release her fears, anger and unforgiveness.
Sheila writes: “The events, stories, quotes and passages of Scripture you’ve read in this book have been God’s tools to change my perspective of what deliverance should look like.” She goes on to share that God has delivered her threefold from hopelessness, self-protection, and unforgiveness.
Each chapter of the book begins with inspirational quotes and a passage or two from The Message bible, while at the end there’s a “deliverance discovered” section with questions to help you self-reflect along with a “prayer of deliverance”. This book examines many of the areas that women often struggle with (recurring bad habits, fear, loneliness, eating issues, self esteem and more), but places a special emphasis on grace, and how it liberates and sets the captive free.
