In Every Heartbeat

This is the story of three friends who have grown up in an orphanage together and attempt to stay connected as they go off to college.  As you might expect with a story about orphans, this book tugs at your heartstrings as you read about their hardships and struggles.

World War I is looming and the pressures of college life begin to tear at the foundation of this loyal friendship.   Libby, Pete and Bennett find that growing up and going in different directions takes them each on their own journey and though they love each other dearly, they are faced with decisions that strain their bond.

This is a story of true friendship and what it must endure – I’m sure any reader will be able to relate to this “coming of age” story and the tough decisions that growing up presents.

IN EVERY HEARTBEAT (Follow up to the award-winning My Heart Remembers) -- As three friends who grew up in the same orphanage head off to college together, they each harbor a cherished dream. Libby wishes to become a famous journalist, Pete plans to study to become a minister, and Bennett wants to join a fraternity and have as much fun as possible. But as tensions rise around the world on the brink of World War I, the friends' differing aspirations and opinions begin to divide them, as well. And when Libby makes a shocking discovery about Pete's family, will it drive a final wedge between the friends or bond them in ways they never anticipated?
