A Path Less Traveled

Author Cathy Bryant is back with the second book in her Miller’s Creek series, after making quite a stir with her debut novel, Texas Roads.

A Path Less Traveled tells the story of two people trying to traverse their way past shattered hearts when their paths cross.  Trish James is keeping the memory of her deceased husband Bo alive in her heart and doesn’t seem to believe she’ll ever love again.  Fiercely determined to keep her independence and make a life for herself and her son, Trish is resistant to any outside help.  Her son Bo, needs her undivided attention as he works through the grief of witnessing his father’s death.

Andy Tyler is reeling from the rejection of his fiance’ and comes to Miller’s Creek, Texas to start over and try to forget the woman he loves.  Emotionally, Andy is wrung out and doesn’t plan to think about falling in love again but Trish James is the one woman who just might change his mind.

Bruised and beaten by the storms of life, both Trish and Andy have baggage from the past yet somehow in the midst of their personal tragedies a love story begins to develop.  Even though they are both “gun shy” from previous hurts and disappointments, this may be their last chance to start over and find happiness again.

This story is about trusting God with everything in your life, even when you can’t see or sense the outcome of what He is doing.  His ways are higher than ours and we often find healing in the most unexpected places.

This book is a heartwarming romance perfect for readers who enjoy this genre.

From the back of the book:

Trish James is tired of being rescued. When a spooked horse claims her husband's life, she’s determined to blaze a path for herself and her traumatized son without outside help. But will that mean leaving the place etched on her heart?

Andy Tyler has had to struggle for everything, and starting a new law practice in Miller's Creek, Texas is no different. Though prepared for business challenges, he's not prepared for falling in love--especially with yet another woman who will probably abandon him for her career.

Will Andy and Trish be able to see past their limited human understanding to take a path less traveled?
