Lynette Eason is back and her third title in the Women of Justice series is once again not for the faint of heart.
If you’re squeamish, the disturbing and sometimes graphic descriptions of the serial killer’s methods in this story might turn you off. However, if you’re looking for an exhilarating, fast-paced, suspenseful thrill then you are in for a treat!
The action seems never-ending and A Killer Among Us is an interesting combination of murder, suspense and romance all rolled into one.
If you’re already familiar with Lynette’s books then you know you can expect some gritty forensic details combined with pulse pounding suspense. Toss in a dash of romance and you’ve got the perfect combination for those who like their Christian fiction on the edgier side. I’m not much for syrupy romance books that ALWAYS have a happy predictable ending. I like a little more realism than fairy tale when I read. Lynnette’s books deliver just that – relevant issues and scenarios that could be taken straight from today’s current events.
While not being overly preachy, this book does convey the message that life without God is much harder. I liked that the characters and their struggles were very believable and easy to relate to.
I highly recommend this entire series – it was excellent. You don’t necessarily have to read them all or read them in order, but the stories are so good I can’t imagine why you wouldn’t want to.
