Chasing Sunsets

Chasing Sunsets by Eva Marie Everson

“It had always been there, this connection.
First loves never really died, I thought.
They only grew more memorable with time.”
                      Page 186 – Chasing Sunsets

If you are looking for the perfect Christian fiction romance to read during summer vacation, I highly recommend Chasing Sunsets.  Combine this book with a comfy beach chair, some tropical smelling suntan oil and a warm sunny day and you’ll be in reader heaven.  This story is beautifully heartwarming and deeply romantic yet very wholesome and clean – thank you Eva!

I am a huge fan of Eva Marie Everson and would recommend her books to anyone who is looking for romantic (emotional), easy to relate to stories.  Her books are based on themes of friendship, first love, forgiveness and small town life.  I tend to get lost in Eva’s books due to her vivid, descriptive writing.  She has a way of making you feel like you are “right there.”

In Chasing Sunsets, Kimberly Tucker is trying to find her way again after her divorce.  Her ex-husband has moved on, taking Kimberly’s heart with him.  Over summer vacation, Kimberly heads back to her childhood home to pass the long five weeks without her sons when a judge rules that they will spend the vacation with their father.  Longing for a change of scenery and some peace of mind, Kimberly finds herself back in Cedar Keys which stirs up memories both good and bad.   She unexpectedly finds herself face to face with her first love Steven who shattered her tender heart as a teen.   As much as she doesn’t want to feel anything for him again, she quickly discovers that her heart remembers what her head has tried so hard to forget.  She and Steven have both grown up, but their attraction to each other is just as strong as the wonderful summer they first fell in love.

For romance fans this is a story that will make you weak in the knees as you take this beautiful journey with Kimberly, Steven and the unforgettable characters of Chasing Sunsets.  I loved everything about this book and highly recommend it.
