For financial beginners this book is a great place to start if shoring up their budget and making smart financial adjustments is the goal. Ellie Kay writes in a conversational tone that makes readers feel like they are talking to a good friend. She includes personal stories along with humor and makes budgeting and other financial basics such as saving and investing very easy to understand.
This book covers it all from self assessments about your attitude towards money to college plans, giving, home based business ideas and more. If you are brand new to the concept of budgeting and sticking to a financial plan, this book is ideal. If you're a long time follower of Dave Ramsey or Larry Burkett, this book may come off a little "fluffy" as it scrapes the surface compared to the depth of other books on this subject. This book is also geared more towards couples and families and their financial issues so it may not be as helpful for singles.
Overall, I think its a greater starter book for those interested in improving their finances.
