Tough Guys and Drama Queens
Parents of teenagers need to read this book!
There is a lot of helpful information and while I don’t agree with 100% of everything the author says or recommends, this book still has plenty of positives that make it worth the read. Each family will have to incorporate what works for them.
This book offers excellent “ice breakers” and conversation starters, to help you communicate more effectively with your teenager. The very first chapter explains just how difficult teens have it, growing up in a day and age of overexposure. Today’s culture is much different than what we remember growing up and the author makes some valid points about how to parent effectively and connect with our teenagers.
He addresses some parenting practices to avoid, and offers ideas for what works better with this age group. Overall, I found some good information in this book.
Disclosure of Material Connection: I received this book free from Booksneeze. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
