A Place To Belong
About The Book:
As winter settles over Bar E Ranch, Cassie Lockwood has a lot on her mind. She's agreed to marry Lucas Engstrom, but his vow to make her love him doesn't seem to be working. And then there's the look she caught him sending Betsy Hudson at church one Sunday. Is he having second thoughts as well? During a short trip away, Cassie realizes she needs to make other plans for her future. But what will the Engstroms say when she announces plans to leave the ranch and join a Wild West show?
Cafe Lily's Review:
I somehow missed the first two books in this series, but for those who have been faithfully reading along, this third and final book wraps up the Wild West Wind series. I prefer to read series books in order, but this has enough background and details that it wasn't hard to figure out what was going on.
Cassie has matured, learned various skills and caught on nicely to domestic life. By all appearances, she is ready to consider marriage. Or is she?
Though a handsome young man has proposed to her, she's not 100% sure if he is "the one". As the wedding date approaches, a series of events cause Cassie to wonder if she's making the right decision.
This was a sweet story, with a close knit group of characters who surround Cassie and take her in as family. Fans of Lauraine Snelling, will not be disappointed!
