Softly Blows the Bugle (The Amish of Weaver's Creek)

Cafe Lily's Review:

I enjoyed this story and though I don't recall reading the first two books in this series, this was fine as a stand alone. However, if you want any of the backstory you will need to read the first two books because nothing is really explained in this third one.

The characters were interesting and there was just enough suspense to keep me turning the pages, when a man determined to win Elizabeth's heart, creates some drama. Some sensitive subjects are touched upon in this book such as domestic violence, slavery, and the loss of a child. There are some surprising twist and turns and this made it a quick and easy read.
